Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Science / Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical and administrative work.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency; Chinese or other dialects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and diagnoses for mild speech-language and swallowing disorders.
• Plan and implement speech and language therapy interventions for patients.
• Provide consultation and education to patients and caregivers regarding therapy management.
• Support planning and operational management of the Speech-Language Rehabilitation Unit.
• Track and monitor departmental performance indicators and prepare service reports.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards.
• Maintain therapy equipment, facilities, and supplies in proper working condition.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
• Collaborate with consultants, interdisciplinary teams, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care.
• Support community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote speech-language therapy services.
• Deliver professional and compassionate service to patients, families, and colleagues.
