Job summary

GUANGDONG INTERCITY O&M (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a professional driver to support the West Section of the East Coast Rail Link project in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on safe transport, route planning, and timely service delivery for project staff and officials.

You will perform vehicle checks, maintain records, and comply with company safety rules, while working overtime or on weekends as required.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification required.
• Malaysian citizen with valid MyKad and Class D driving licence.
• At least three years of professional driving experience.
• Familiar with Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Batu Caves and Klang Valley roads.
• Strong safety awareness and punctuality; confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport company personnel between offices, project sites, stations and venues, ensuring punctual arrival.
• Plan routes, monitor traffic and weather, and comply with traffic laws and vehicle rules.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, cleaning and basic maintenance; report faults promptly.
• Record trips, mileage, fuel usage, tolls, and maintenance; safeguard keys and documents.
• Assist with delivery of documents and materials; protect company information and itineraries.
• Work overtime, weekends or short outstation trips as required.

Guangdong Intercity O&M Sdn Bhd is the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) provider for the West Section of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) — Malaysia's flagship 665 km rail infrastructure connecting Port Klang to Kelantan. Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport Company personnel between offices on the western section of the ECRL, project sites, stations, airports and meeting venues, ensuring punctual arrival.
• Plan routes in advance based on the itinerary, monitor real-time traffic and weather conditions, and strictly comply with Malaysian road traffic laws and the Company's vehicle-management rules.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, cleaning and basic maintenance; promptly report faults and follow up on scheduled servicing, insurance and road-tax matters.
• Accurately record trips, mileage, fuel consumption, parking fees, tolls, repairs and maintenance, and properly safeguard vehicle keys, documents and onboard items.
• Assist with the delivery of documents and materials and other reasonable official duties as arranged; strictly protect passenger and Company information and do not disclose itineraries or work-related information.
• Work overtime, on weekends or on short outstation trips when required by the project, and comply with vehicle-dispatch and safety-management arrangements.

Requirements

• SPM or an equivalent qualification or above; Malaysian citizen holding a valid MyKad; and holder of a valid Malaysian Class D Driving Licence, with a good driving record and no major traffic violations or at-fault accidents.
• At least three years of experience as a professional driver, company driver or project vehicle driver.
• Familiar with the main roads in Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Batu Caves and the Klang Valley.
• Strong safety awareness, punctuality, service orientation and confidentiality; honest, reliable, attentive to detail and able to maintain a professional appearance.
• Able to communicate at work in Malay, with basic English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Physically fit and able to accommodate flexible working hours, reasonable overtime, weekend work and necessary travel.
