Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan EPS Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking a Commodity Trader to drive growth in our physical precious metals trading business. You will combine client acquisition with trade execution, providing institutional and corporate clients with trading services and risk management solutions.

The role requires deep product knowledge in precious metals, strong negotiation skills and a disciplined compliance mindset in a regulated environment, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
• Experience in physical precious metals trading, sales or commercial roles within commodities.
• Solid understanding of precious metals products (Gold, Silver, PGM) and pricing mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and acquire new suppliers and customers for Gold, Silver and PGM business.
• Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead customer negotiations, pricing discussions and commercial proposals.
• Initiate the KYC Process and counterparty assessment before onboarding new accounts.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with customers and suppliers, while driving sales targets, profitability targets and business growth initiatives.
• Provide daily pricing and commercial quotations.
• Execute precious metals and foreign exchange transactions within approved limits.
• Identify trading opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Monitor trading positions, exposure and profit/loss performance.
• Review trading details sheet, purchase agreements and sales contracts before execution.

About you

Solid understanding of precious metals products (Gold, Silver, PGM) and pricing mechanisms

Demonstrated experience in business development and client acquisition

Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with attention to detail

Willing to travel for business at short notice
