Job summary

Linde Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Commodity Manager for Distribution & Logistics to shape sourcing strategies across Singapore and Malaysia, lead procurement initiatives, and build strong supplier partnerships.

You will develop category strategies, manage tenders and contracts, drive supplier performance, and collaborate with regional stakeholders to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or business.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including logistics, transportation, or distribution.
• Strong sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead stakeholders, drive cost savings, and deliver operational improvements.

Making an impact. What will you do?

In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for distribution and logistics categories across Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and compliant supply solutions.

Furthermore, you will develop and implement category strategies, manage tender and contract negotiations, and drive supplier performance to support business objectives.

Supplier relationship management is part of your role, including identifying new suppliers, overseeing performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with contractual and SHEQ requirements.

Additionally, you will partner with logistics and operational stakeholders to optimize transportation, warehousing, fleet, and distribution services while supporting business continuity.

You will also lead continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance procurement efficiency and operational performance.

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including logistics, transportation, or distribution categories.

Strong sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.

Proven ability to lead stakeholders, drive cost savings, and deliver operational improvements. Word]

Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience in the distribution, logistics, or oil & gas industry will be an advantage.
