Job summary

Linde Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Buyer to build a strong foundation in procurement and logistics, gaining hands-on experience in end-to-end shipment operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and global partners while developing expertise in trade compliance and vendor management.

In this role, you will manage the full procurement lifecycle, execute RFQ/RFP processes, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience for Buyer roles.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing and tendering to purchase order execution, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Drive cost-effective sourcing strategies, supporting cost optimisation while maintaining supplier performance and supply continuity.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts, ensuring compliance with vendor lists, terms, and audit requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate with Operations, SHEQ, Finance, Sales, and Legal to support business needs.
• Oversee RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and vendor performance tracking.

Making an impact. What will you do?

In this role, you will manage end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing and tendering to purchase order execution, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures

Furthermore, you will drive cost-effective sourcing strategies, supporting cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining supplier performance and supply continuity

Managing supplier relationships and contracts is part of your role, ensuring compliance with approved vendor lists, contractual terms, and audit requirements

Additionally, you will monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks, proactively resolving issues and escalating where necessary

Also, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, SHEQ, Finance, Sales, and Legal, to support business needs

You will oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and vendor performance tracking

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field

3–5 years of experience for Buyer roles

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
