Job summary

Ovivo Water in Malaysia seeks a Commissioning Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in commissioning, startup and performance testing for water treatment projects. You will review drawings, develop procedures, and coordinate activities with project managers, contractors, vendors and customers.

The role requires on-site work at customer facilities, strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently to meet schedule commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, instrument or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of commissioning, installation, startup or project engineering experience.
• Experience at customer sites and managing commissioning activities independently.
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup and performance testing.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, specifications and project documents.
• Develop and implement commissioning procedures, test plans and inspection checklists.
• Coordinate commissioning with project managers, contractors, vendors and customers.
• Perform site inspections and verify installation quality and compliance with design specs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning and startup phases.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records and handover documentation.
• Conduct customer training on system operation and maintenance.
