Commissioning Engineer

Job summary

Mindteck Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to provide engineering input for complex projects, develop technical solutions, and mentor junior engineers.

You will act as a conduit for Project Managers, assess project engineering needs, manage technical risk, and interface with customers, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (master's degree preferred).
• Extensive experience in power projects (power gen, green energy, distribution, substation, high voltage, switchgear, mining, rail, defense, heavy industry or similar).
• Create, review and critique designs, commissioning test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 quality work practices.
• Assess engineering risks in accordance with ISO 31000.
• Develop and maintain engineering deliverable plans while tracking task progress for their team.

Preferred Qualification:

A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).

Extensive experience in previous power projects (power generation, green energy, distribution, substation, high voltage, switchgear, mining, rail, defense, heavy industry or similar),

Self-managed, good planning and organization skills

Project task planning and basic project management skills,

Good written and verbal communication skills,

A current driver's license,

Previous experience with diesel engines

AutoCAD, Creo, and/or MS Project experience

Familiarity with electrical protection relays and high voltage equipment
