Job summary

• Proven experience as CNC Programmer in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software.
• Ability to read technical drawings and CAD designs.
• Experience with multi-axis machining and complex geometries.
• Familiarity with quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and test CNC programmes for various machines and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and design specifications to create precise programming instructions.
• Optimise CNC programmes to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and enhance product quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing CNC programmes to resolve production issues and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, production teams and quality assurance staff to ensure programmes meet specifications and requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all programmes, modifications and testing procedures.
• Monitor and analyse production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support machine operators by providing technical guidance and programme adjustments as needed.
• Stay current with CNC technology, industry best practices and new software updates.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join the team at Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Simpang Ampat, Penang. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and optimising computer numerical control programmes that drive our precision manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and quality of our production processes, directly supporting the company's commitment to delivering exceptional manufacturing solutions to our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Develop, write and test CNC programmes for various machines and equipment used in the manufacturing process

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages and software platforms commonly used in the industry
• Advanced technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling and machine capabilities
• Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs
• Proficiency in CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and design tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision
• Experience with multi-axis machining and complex geometries
• Knowledge of quality control standards and manufacturing best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in CNC programming or mechanical engineering (preferred)
• Familiarity with production planning and scheduling systems (advantageous)
