Job summary

Genetec Technology Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to write precise CNC programs for milling, lathes and routers. You will read blueprints, select tools, determine speeds/feeds, and run simulations to ensure production meets specifications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and shop mathematics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, CNC programming, machining, or machine operations.
• diploma/associate degree in machining or related field.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on precision and quality control.
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC programming and machining issues.
• Good understanding of CNC machining processes, tools and machine operations.

Responsibilities

• Write CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and routers using CAD/CAM software.
• Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances and GD&T to ensure accurate machining.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and requirements.
• Conduct test runs and simulations to identify and fix programming errors.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and adjust programming or settings during production.

• Write CNC Programs: Create precise and efficient CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and routers using CAD/CAM software.
• Read and Interpret Blueprints: Analyze technical drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances to ensure accurate machining specifications.
• Select Cutting Tools: Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates based on the type of raw materials and machining requirements.
• Conduct Test Runs: Perform simulations and test runs to identify, troubleshoot, and correct programming errors before production.
• Troubleshoot Machine Issues: Identify and resolve machine-related issues and make necessary program or machine setting adjustments during production.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and good knowledge of shop mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry.
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, CNC programming, machining, or machine operations.
• Education: Diploma, vocational training, or Associate Degree in Machining, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on product accuracy, precision, and quality control.
