Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job, machine setting and part program setting.
Write and optimize G-code or NC codes using CAD/CAM software (Master-CAM & Solid-CAM) to create precise tool paths.
Read technical drawings, models, and specifications to determine correct measurements and production methods.
Run computer simulations or dry runs to check for errors before live production to determine estimated cycle time to produce.
Debug programs, adjust feed rates or speeds, and fix errors during machining operations with production support.
Maintain program databases, document revisions, and perform routine checks on equipment readiness.
To assist additional task assigned by immediate superior/supervisor.
To follow any other instructions, work responsibilities as instructed by the superior from time to time.
Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
Requirements
Minimum SPM level – 3A & above, or a technical/associate degree in mechanical engineering or machining.
Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, or Solid Edge).
Strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Those without paper qualification but with necessary experiences will be considered.
