Job summary

Oglaend Industries Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced CNC Program Specialist to support sheet metal fabrication. You will be the technical expert for CNC punching and laser cutting, focusing on programming, setup, troubleshooting, and training.

You will develop and optimize programs, set up machines, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to meet production targets while driving continuous improvement and OEE.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming and setup, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of CNC punching and laser cutting machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience with process optimization, tooling selection, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coaching skills.
• Good command of English and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and maintain CNC punching and laser cutting programs.
• Set up and support CNC machines to ensure efficient and accurate production.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) through manufacturability assessments and process planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, machine utilization and OEE.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications and tolerances.
• Train and mentor CNC operators on programming, machine operation, troubleshooting and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
