Job summary

Ferrotec Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, maintain, and improve CNC manufacturing processes from FA to mass production, ensuring parts meet drawing, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

You will collaborate with Engineering, CNC Programming, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve technical issues and continuously improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the metal industry.
• Strong knowledge of metal processing techniques, such as casting, forging, machining, and heat treatment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC.
• Proficient in CAD and engineering tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• To be able to drive changes and be a change agent

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC manufacturing processes from FA development through mass production.
• Manage FA activities including status follow-up, NCR disposition, FA buyoff, and SAP BOM routing updates.
• Create and maintain BOM & Routing in SAP to ensure accurate production data.
• Coordinate FA setup by reviewing CNC process plans with programmers before production.
• Provide technical support to production, engineering, quality and customers for CNC processes.
• Follow ECO/ECR actions to ensure timely engineering changes.
• Drive process improvements to increase quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and stability.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for metal products (casting, forging, machining, surface treatment).
• Design process flow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with R&D and production to scale up new processes from pilot to full production.
