Micron Concept Aerostructures Sdn Bhd is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment. You will perform deburring, machining, and inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
The role requires accurate documentation in the ERP system and adherence to WI, SOPs, and 5S standards. The ideal candidate has 1 year of CNC machining experience or fresh graduates with relevant technical backgrounds are welcome.
Operate and set up CNC milling and CNC lathe machines, ensuring accurate production, quality inspection, proper documentation and compliance with safety and production requirements.
Operate and perform setup of CNC milling and CNC lathe/turning machines according to work instructions and Manufacturing Orders (MO).
Carry out production runs, deburring and machining processes according to the required operation sequence.
Perform in-process, first-piece and last-piece inspections to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy.
Use inspection equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring tools.
Complete production, process and cycle documentation accurately through the ERP system.
Ensure materials, tools, fixtures, gauges and measuring equipment are correctly identified and maintained according to product requirements.
Maintain CNC machines, including oil-level checks, coolant top-up, chip removal and basic preventive maintenance.
Monitor and maintain cutting tools, fixtures and machining equipment in good condition.
Follow Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, quality requirements and product specifications.
Ensure proper part identification, traceability and non-conformity (NC) control throughout the production process.
Maintain workplace cleanliness, safety and 5S standards.
Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams on process improvement, tooling selection and fixture improvements.
Support data collection and continuous improvement activities to improve machining processes and productivity.
Coach and guide fellow machinists when required.
Support overtime and night shifts when required to meet production targets.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related field.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in CNC machining.
Experience in CNC Milling and/or CNC Lathe/Turning is preferred.
Fresh graduates and interns with relevant technical/mechanical backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Able to understand and follow Work Instructions (WI), SOPs and Manufacturing Orders (MO).
Basic knowledge of dimensional control, machining tools and customer product requirements.
Experience using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges and other QC measuring equipment is preferred.
Able to perform basic product quality checks and identify dimensional or visual defects.
Quality-oriented, responsible and committed to meeting production targets.
Good understanding of workplace safety and 5S.
Willing to work overtime and night shifts when required.
Able to pass the required eyesight/visual test.
