Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review technical drawings, CAD models, and specs for switchgear components.

General Responsibilities: Develop and optimize CNC programs, perform nesting, and select appropriate tooling for switchgear metal clad/metal enclosure components based on design drawings, ensuring efficient production processes and material utilization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Review and analyze technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications provided by designers to understand the manufacturing requirements for switchgear metal clad or metal enclosure components.
• 2. Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project objectives and requirements.
• 3. Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining processes, including punching, bending, and laser cutting, using appropriate CAM software and tools.
• 4. Perform nesting of parts within the available raw material to maximize material utilization and minimize waste, while adhering to quality and production efficiency standards.
• 5. Select appropriate cutting tools, toolpaths, and machining parameters to achieve the desired results while considering factors such as material type, thickness, and machine capabilities.
• 6. Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs, tooling setups, and machining processes to ensure smooth production runs and resolve any issues that may arise.
• 7. Collaborate with machine operators to provide clear instructions and guidance for setup, tool changes, and program execution.
• 8. Conduct regular maintenance and updates of CNC programs to reflect design revisions, process improvements, or new production requirements.
• 9. Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and process parameters for future reference and continuous improvement efforts.
• 10. Participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement within the manufacturing process.
