Job summary

Pacific Quartz (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Machine Operator (Machining) to join our Kulim facility in Kedah. You will operate CNC machine tools, read drawings, set up equipment and monitor quality to meet specifications and schedules.

The ideal candidate has experience in machining, can read blueprints, and works well in a team. Training opportunities include hands-on programs, plus a planned training trip to our China facility early July.

Qualifications

• Must have full working rights for Malaysia.
• Able to communicate in Chinese or English.
• Experience as Machine Operator in machining/manufacturing environment.
• Minimum SPM education or higher.
• Proficient in CNC and/or conventional machining.
• Able to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tolerances and materials.
• Good eyesight and color vision sufficient for inspection.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality focus.
• Willing to work a 3-shift roster (min 240 hours per month).
• Certifications in machining advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machine tools to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
• Set up machining equipment, including tool changes and calibration.
• Measure components with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Identify and report malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.
• Maintain safe and organized work environment and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean 5S work site and document production data.
• Collaborate with team to meet targets and optimize material use.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for quality.
• Participate in training programmes, including training at China facility.
