SFP Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a CMM Programmer/Quality Inspector in Penang to develop, modify, and operate CMM programs ensuring products meet engineer drawings, GD&T, and quality requirements. You will interpret technical drawings, perform FAI, and run final inspections in a manufacturing setting.

Role requires a Diploma/Certificate in mechanical/metrology fields and 2–3 years of CMM programming experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso.

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in CMM programming or quality inspection in manufacturing.
• Proficient in CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS or Calypso.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM measurement programs from drawings and specs.
• Operate CMM equipment to perform accurate dimensional measurements.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and specs to determine inspection methods.
• Perform FAI and verify dimensions before mass production.
• Conduct final and outgoing inspections to meet quality requirements.
• Analyze CMM results and prepare inspection reports.
• Collaborate with Eng., Production and Quality to resolve issues and drive improvement.
• Ensure inspections comply with ISO 9001 and company procedures.

To develop, modify, and operate CMM programs to ensure accurate dimensional inspection and product conformity with engineering drawings, GD&T, customer specifications, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM measurement programs based on engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Operate CMM equipment to perform accurate dimensional measurements and inspections.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and measurement specifications to determine appropriate inspection methods.

Perform first-piece inspection (FAI) and verify product dimensions before mass production.

Conduct final and outgoing inspections to ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.

Analyze CMM measurement results and prepare inspection and measurement reports.

Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.

Ensure all inspection activities comply with quality standards, customer requirements, ISO 9001, and Company procedures.

Requirements

Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Metrology, Quality Control, or a related field.

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in CMM programming or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in CMM programming and operation, with experience in software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent.

Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T, with good knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, and calipers.
