Job summary

Altum Precision Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced CMM Inspector in Malaysia to develop, maintain, and optimize CMM inspection programs ensuring dimensional accuracy and customer specifications.

Responsibilities include creating programs with PC-DMIS/Calypso/MCOSMOS, inspecting first articles to finished parts, interpreting GD&T and drawings, and preparing inspection reports. Collaboration with Production, Engineering and Quality drives measurement improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.
• Proficient in CMM software: PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS or equivalent.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and engineering drawings.
• Experience with FAI/PPAP is advantageous.

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve dimensional concerns.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure quality system compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in measurement processes and inspection efficiency.

Job Summary
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing CMM inspection programs to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Create, modify, and validate CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS.

Perform dimensional inspection of first articles, in-process, and finished parts.

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.

Analyze measurement results and prepare inspection reports.

Support PPAP, FAI, APQP, and new product introduction activities.

Troubleshoot CMM equipment and measurement-related issues.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve dimensional concerns.

Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in measurement processes and inspection efficiency.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.

Proficient in CMM software (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, MCOSMOS, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Experience with FAI, PPAP, and quality tools is an advantage.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements is preferred.
