Job summary

Pointstar in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Cloud Specialist (Data Analytics) to design data solutions on Google Cloud Platform and to build data warehouses with ETL processes, data marts, and dashboards.

The role requires 3–5 years in Business Analytics, Data Engineering or Data Science, plus experience with Kubernetes or Anthos. You will collaborate with sales and technical teams to deliver scalable cloud data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Engineering or Data Science.
• Experience deploying multi/hybrid-cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Anthos) is a plus.
• Strong logical/analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design data solutions aligned to Google Cloud Platform security and design standards.
• Design and implement data warehouse architectures, ETL processes, data marts.
• Ingest, process, and visualise data through dashboards on Google Cloud Platform or other solutions.
• Provide task estimates and contribute to solution architecture.
• Document technical solutions and ensure production readiness criteria are met.
• Respond promptly to platform technical issues and support cloud opportunities with sales teams.

Job Description :

• Design data solutions aligned to the design principles and security standards of the Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement solutions around data warehouse implementation ranging from architecture, ETL processes, multidimensional modelling, data marts implementation.
• Design and optimise data acquisition, data ingestion, and data processing using ETL (Extract, Load, Transform) tool and developing dashboards or other visualisations using Google Cloud Platform or other solutions.
• Evaluate the requirements and, determine actionable tasks, estimates and provide efforts for business solution build and architecture.
• Responsible for technical documentation on solution implementation.
• Perform operational readiness tasks and ensure production acceptance criteria are met.
• Respond to platform technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Work closely with the sales team for cloud-related sales opportunities.

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 5 years experience in Business Analytics, Data Engineering or Data Science.
• Strong logical/analytical troubleshooting
• Experience in deploying and operating multi/hybrid-cloud platforms, such as Kubernetes, Anthos etc, is a plus.
