Job summary

Pointstar in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Cloud Specialist (Application Modernization) to join the Cloud Consulting team, delivering innovative custom solutions and integrations for clients across industries. You will design and implement solutions using Google Cloud, focusing on AI/ML, API integration, and DevOps CI/CD, ensuring they are runnable, scalable, and maintainable.

The role involves technical documentation, operational readiness, and timely issue response.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable field.
• 1–5 years of solutioning development and integration experience.
• Experience in agile implementation approaches.
• Know-how in API integration, application design, development and deployment.
• Experience in full-stack technologies (front end and back end) with React, Flutter, NodeJS and/or Python.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines including orchestration tools, Git repositories, test tools, code quality tools and deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, JMeter).
• DevOps and Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English for collaboration with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Be trained and developed as Google Certified Professional DevOps Engineer and/or Google Certified Professional Cloud Developer in this role.
