Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a high-performing cloud and infrastructure team. You will deliver operational excellence across cloud environments and provide support to the Platform Engineering team across the ANZ region, ensuring reliability and continuous service improvement.

The role covers Cloud SaaS and PaaS, server infrastructure, container platforms, vulnerability management, and project delivery support. Strong scripting and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing Windows and Linux servers in cloud environments.
• Azure knowledge is highly preferred; AWS experience is a plus.
• Ter tiary level qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting for network, server and cloud issues.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation.
• Experience with patch management tools including SCCM, AWS SSM, and Azure Update Manager.
• Scripting in Bash and PowerShell for automation and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform administration & level 1/2 support of Windows and Linux servers.
• Administer Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms.
• Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and fixes.
• Remediate vulnerabilities in Windows, Linux, and cloud services (Azure/AWS).
• Maintain and update technical documentation for recurring tasks and issues.
• Provide support for upgrades and implementations.
• Contribute to automation and process improvements to reduce manual work.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team of cloud and infrastructure professionals responsible for delivering operational excellence across our cloud environments. A key focus of this role is providing operational and engineering support to the Platform Engineering team across the ANZ region, ensuring the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of cloud services.

You will also support the broader business, customers, and business partners as required. The role encompasses Cloud SaaS and PaaS services, server infrastructure, container platforms, vulnerability management, and project delivery support.

What You’ll Do

• Perform administration & level 1/2 support of both Windows and Linux Servers
• Perform administration of Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms.
• Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes or workarounds to restore service quickly
• Responsible for Vulnerability Remediation of Windows and Linux Servers and Cloud Services (Azure and AWS)
• Maintain and update technical documentation, ensuring clear guidance for recurring tasks, fixes, and known issues
• Provide support for upgrades and implementations
• Contribute to automation and process improvement, helping to streamline common support activities and reduce manual effort

What We’re Looking for

• At least 3 years working with and maintaining a mixed Windows and Linux server environment in a cloud environment
• Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies is highly preferred. Experience with AWS cloud services and architecture principles would be an added advantage
• Preferably tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Strong troubleshooting skills for network, server and cloud issues
• Team player but also able to work solo
• Willingness to learn new technologies and skills
• Ability to create clear, concise and user-friendly technical documentation
• Experience with patch management tools including SCCM, AWS SSM, and Azure Update Manager
• Scripting proficiency in Bash and PowerShell for automation and maintenance tasks
