Job summary

Sancro Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure in Malaysia. The role involves day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring security best practices across Azure services, including VMs, VNets, App Services, SQL, and storage.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience, strong governance knowledge, and proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and scripting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure deployment and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, manage, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Azure environments.
• Deploy and manage Azure services including Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and other Azure services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure incidents and provide timely resolution.
• Implement Azure security best practices, including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access controls, and network security.
• Perform Azure resource configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and operational tasks using Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Bash, or Python where applicable.
• Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, application, security, and business teams on cloud infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Provide technical support, incident management, and root cause analysis (RCA) for Azure-related issues.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations

• Azure security and governance

Advantageous Skills

Experience with the following will be an advantage:

• Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates
• PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Hybrid cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments
