Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to lead DevOps practices and deliver robust cloud platforms using Azure or AWS. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and scalable deployment strategies across environments.

Responsibilities include configuring network security groups, VNETs, cost optimization, documenting processes, and ensuring availability and performance. A tertiary degree in CS/IT and 7+ years' experience are required; Checkpoint firewall experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience working in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage.
• Desirable: Checkpoint firewalls.
• Mandatory: Holds a tertiary education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD and IaC.
• Develop and support cloud solutions, deployment pipelines, automation, VMs, and PaaS.
• Assess security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Configure cloud network settings, including NSGs, VNets, subnets, and firewalls.
• Collaborate to improve consistency, reliability, and performance across environments.
• Monitor cloud usage and costs and optimize resource provisioning.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for processes.
• Ensure cloud platforms meet availability, performance, and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to refine deployments.
• Develop, and support cloud solutions, including deployment pipelines, automation, virtual machines, and PaaS services.
• Assess security vulnerabilities, ensuring understanding of security standards.
• Manage and apply cloud network configurations, including Network Security Groups, virtual networks, subnets, and firewall rules.
• Collaborate with teams to lead consistency, reliability, and continuous improvement across environments.
• Monitor and improve cloud usage and costs through efficient provisioning and right-sizing of resources.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for processes.
• Ensure cloud platforms meet availability, performance, and service level requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience working in Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Intermediate to experience of Azure or AWS including Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage.
• Desirable, but not essential: Experience working with Checkpoint firewalls.
• Mandatory: Holds a tertiary education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
