Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer to design, build, and manage cloud-based solutions, with a focus on automating deployment pipelines using Python, Terraform, and Ansible.

You will design, test, and maintain infrastructure as code, identify and fix pipeline issues, and enhance cloud security while modernising legacy applications to improve performance and scalability. Collaboration with software developers and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are looking for a DevOps Cloud Engineer to help build DevOps solutions - Cloud that will improve our customers’ experience.

DevOps Engineer responsibilities include understanding of cloud computing concepts to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions. If you have a solid background in software development and are familiar with Python, Terraform, Ansible, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, building, testing and maintaining the infrastructure as code deployment pipelines for customer’s cloud environments.
• Identifying technical problems and fixing the deployment pipeline.
• Enhance the customer’s Cloud IT infrastructure security protocols.
• Modernise legacy applications to increase the system's functionality, performance, and scalability.
• The ability to understand the needs and requirements of stakeholders and collaborating together with software developers and together to build the automated continuous integration and continuous delivery process (CICD).
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in DevOps and cloud computing.

Qualifications:

• A diploma or degree in any field (Information Technology would be great but not necessary).
• Prior experience within software development ( 2 years and above ).
• Strong problem solving and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders.
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field.
• Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.
• Experience using an array of automation tools.
• Familiarity with software security methods.
• Demonstrated experience using a wide variety of coding languages.
• Curious, discerning envelope pusher.
• Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities.
