Job summary

TechTiera in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer for a short-term contract. You will design and manage Azure infrastructure, automate deployments with Terraform and ARM templates, and collaborate with developers to ensure seamless application integration.

The role requires 3+ years of Azure experience, scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, and a strong grasp of security, networking, and cost optimization. Hybrid work setup available in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, core services and infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, ARM templates or Azure Resource Manager.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automation and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, virtual networking, storage and DB management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure solutions tailored to business requirements and scalability needs.
• Deploy, configure and manage Azure services including VMs, storage, databases, and networking components.
• Monitor cloud environment performance, security and cost optimization to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, providing technical support to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, compliance standards and disaster recovery protocols.
• Automate deployment and management processes using Infrastructure as Code tools and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration with cloud platforms.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations and procedures.
• Stay current with Azure updates, new services and industry best practices to continuously improve cloud operations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join TECHTIERA SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and contribute to strategic cloud initiatives within our organisation. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that support our business objectives and drive digital transformation across the company.

Requirements:

• Willing to work on short term contract role
• At least 3 years proven experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including hands‑on experience with core services and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, virtual networking, storage solutions and database management
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, ARM templates or Azure Resource Manager
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation and configuration management
• Solid knowledge of security, compliance and identity management within cloud environments
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools to track cloud infrastructure performance and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams
• Strong communication abilities to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent are highly desirable
