Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years' experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong networking, virtualization, and IaC knowledge.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for cloud apps.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Solid cloud security practices and identity management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.
• Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join Konica Minolta Business Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This position is a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and solutions. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving our digital transformation initiatives and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies whilst contributing to the strategic objectives of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency
• Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Monitor and optimise cloud systems for performance, availability, and reliability, addressing issues proactively
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based services
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration into cloud environments
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of cloud infrastructure to ensure adherence to security standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related technical issues in a timely manner
• Document cloud infrastructure, processes, and configurations to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to existing systems
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on cloud-related matters

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience (3+ years) working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualisation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity management and data protection
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Splunk
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional) are highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
