Job summary

MIMOS is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will drive migrations, CI/CD pipelines, and automation while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on cloud experience, with strong IaC skills and familiarity with Linux/Windows environments. Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Diploma with strong relevant cloud/infrastructure experience may be considered.
• Professional cloud certification is preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, database and security services.
• Support migration of on-prem workloads to cloud environments (rehost/replatform/database migration).

The Cloud Engineer is responsible to design, implement, operate and continuously improve secure, reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure and services. The role supports cloud migration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and optimization of cloud environments, while ensuring availability, security, performance and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, database and security services based on project requirements.
• Support migration of on-premise workloads and applications to cloud environments, including rehost, replatform and database migration activities.
• Provision and configure cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code and automation tools where applicable.
• Implement and maintain IAM, network security, encryption, backup, monitoring, logging and access controls in accordance with security requirements.
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads and deployment environments in collaboration with development teams.
• Monitor system availability, performance, capacity and resource utilization; investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability and operational procedures for production environments.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost, and provide technical recommendations for reliability, performance and scalability.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture/configuration records, operational runbooks and implementation reports.
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, cloud service providers and clients during implementation, testing, deployment and support.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field. Diploma with strong relevant cloud/infrastructure experience may be considered.

Professional Qualification

• Professional cloud certification is preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent. No specific regulatory/licensing requirement.

Work Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, system administration, DevOps or related areas. Hands‑on experience in implementing or supporting cloud migration and production environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on knowledge of AWS cloud services; Azure/GCP experience is an advantages.
• Good understanding of VPC/networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, routing and security controls.
• Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Systems Manager and related AWS services.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows administration, virtualization and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of cloud security, backup, disaster recovery, high availability and monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, application connectivity, performance and deployment issues.
