Job summary

GenTech AI Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure behind AI platforms and customer solutions. You will maintain existing environments, help design and build new infrastructure, and contribute to cloud migration projects.

This role suits someone with 1-2 years of relevant experience who enjoys troubleshooting, automation and building reliable cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, system administration or related role.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Working knowledge of Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker and CI/CD concepts or tools.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python or similar language.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cloud infrastructure to support application availability, performance, security and cost efficiency.
• Configure and deploy cloud resources, including servers, networking, storage and access controls.
• Help design and build cloud environments for internal products and customer projects.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
• Support Docker deployments and Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and application logs, investigate incidents and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform infrastructure updates, patching, backups and recovery testing.
• Participate in cloud migrations and upgrades, including planning, testing, deployment and rollback preparation.
• Automate routine tasks and maintain infrastructure configurations, documentation and operational procedures.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical issues clearly.

Good to Have

• Exposure to Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible or other infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, cloud migrations or infrastructure upgrades.
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
