Job summary

Bell Ward in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Engineer to lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives for enterprise clients. This is a hands-on role focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS environments.

You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions, develop IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, and implement CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud/Infrastructure Engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience delivering cloud migration or modernization projects.
• Strong hands-on AWS services experience across compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of VPCs, DNS, routing, VPN, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting in Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

We are seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the delivery of cloud migration, modernization, and transformation projects for enterprise clients.

This is a hands‑on technical role where you will design, implement, automate, and optimize AWS cloud environments while collaborating with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and customer stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutions.
• Translate solution architectures into detailed designs and implementation plans.
• Recommend appropriate AWS services, deployment strategies, and best practices.
• Identify technical risks and provide effective solutions.
• Lead the deployment, configuration, and migration of AWS infrastructure and services.
• Deliver cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, security, and performance issues.

Technical Leadership

• Lead technical workstreams and ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior cloud engineers.
• Review technical designs and implementation approaches to maintain quality standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate technical discussions, workshops, and solution reviews.
• Work closely with clients, project teams, and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Promote cloud engineering best practices and standards.
• Drive automation and process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
• Proven experience delivering cloud migration, modernization, or cloud infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as VPC, DNS, routing, VPN, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
