Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Clinic Receptionist for its consultation clinic in Malaysia. The role involves greeting patients, registering demographics, and coordinating appointments with multiple consultants.

You will ensure accurate billing, issue receipts, and handle cash reconciliation, while maintaining strict confidentiality and patient safety. The position requires strong communication, independence, and teamwork, with a focus on patient comfort and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Cordially receive all patients with or without appointment from the main lobby, A&E, other consultant clinics and the Health Screening Unit (HSU).
• Ensure registration is performed according to SOPs (Citizen, Race, Occupation, Next of Kin, Phone Number & e-mail).
• Maintain confidentiality and safety of patients at all times in the clinic, hospital and elsewhere as needed.
• Ensure patient data is accurately entered into the system and appointments are scheduled according to each consultant’s schedule.
• Maintain smooth clinic operations by managing the appointment system, cleanliness, and meeting operational requirements.
• Explain rules, charges, and treatments clearly to patients before and after procedures.
• Ensure charges are accurately entered and receipts issued for payments, matching billed amounts.
• Reconcile collections with till and ensure cash drop amounts are correct.
• Coordinate patients with guarantee letters, insurance or MCO when required before treatment.
• Maintain professional courtesy, efficiency and attentiveness at all times.
• Document all clinic activities properly and professionally.
