Job summary

O2 Klinik in Penang is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and patient care. You will work under supervision to provide standard patient care, assist doctors during consultations and procedures, and ensure safe medication handling.

The role requires a CMA/RMA preferred background, BLS/CPR certification, and the ability to work rotating shifts including late-night coverage. Join a team committed to quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s diploma/degree in nursing or medical assisting is preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide standard patient care according to clinic operational guidelines.
• Assist doctors during consultations and medical procedures.
• Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Administer medications and injections according to protocols.
• Support clinic events and outreach programs as required.
• Manage patient registration and update waiting times and consultation room assignments.
• Respond to incoming calls and inquiries professionally and accurately.
• Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies and medications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic.
• Perform in rotation shift as per duty roster.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional, ethical, and approachable demeanor.
• Own reliable transportation and able to work in rotation shifts and cover midnight shifts (1-3 times per week).
