Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara (THKD) is seeking a Clinic Assistant to greet patients, ensure medical records are prepared, and support consultants during procedures while maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality.
You will direct patients to diagnostic departments, manage appointments, and ensure proper documentation and billing for clinic activities, with emphasis on hygiene and orderly workspaces.

Minimum SPM qualification with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar field, demonstrating strong knowledge and practical expertise.

Greets patients in a friendly and polite manner.
Ensures patients’ Medical Records and relevant documents are available prior to the commencement of the clinic.
Assists consultants in procedures — invasive and non-invasive — and maintains privacy at all times.
Directs patients to the respective diagnostic departments for investigation and treatment (e.g., clinic, X-ray department, treatment room, physiotherapy, etc.).
Ensures follow-up appointments are issued, explained, and keyed into HIS accordingly.
Facilitates patients on admission to the ward.
Answers telephone calls and directs calls to consultants when necessary.
Maintains clinic and procedure room cleanliness and tidiness after use.
Ensures items used (e.g., consumables, procedures) are charged accordingly.
Ensures adequate supplies (e.g., consumables, equipment, etc.) are available prior to the commencement of the clinic.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Maintains systematic filing and ensures safe dispatch of Patient Records to the Medical Record Department.
All Clinic Assistants in the clinic shall be made aware of and shall follow the formal relationships, lines of communication, and authority as depicted in the organisation chart.
For specialised Nursing areas, specific Job Duties & Responsibilities are detailed in the preceptorship book and the employee’s initial on-the-job training (OJT).
At all times, maintains strict confidentiality of any information that may be encountered during the course of duties.
Enhances professional growth and development through reading relevant literature, as well as attending relevant training programmes (internal/external).
Performs other tasks / duties as assigned.
