Job summary

EMIR MAHMUD & CO based in Shah Alam, Selangor, is seeking an Account Executive to join our accounting team. You will manage a portfolio of client accounts, perform bookkeeping, prepare financial records, and assist with financial statements to support SMEs.

You will maintain accuracy, ensure regulatory compliance, liaise with clients, and contribute to growth through excellent service and timely financial advice.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification and related degree.
• Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in a practice environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Strong numeracy, detail orientation, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts with ongoing bookkeeping and accounting support.
• Prepare and maintain ledgers, journals and reconciliations for clients.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide financial guidance on bookkeeping matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements for all client accounts.
• Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
