Job summary

OBH Trading Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Account Executive to support our clients in Butterworth, Penang. You will manage client accounts, perform bookkeeping, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records to support business growth.

You will reconcile bank statements, prepare financial statements, process invoices and payroll, and provide basic accounting advice while upholding confidentiality and compliance with Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Account Executive, Bookkeeper, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple client accounts.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned clients.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial statements.
• Record transactions and maintain general ledgers.
• Process invoices, expenses, and payroll for clients.
• Conduct account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Communicate with clients to gather financial information and clarify account details.
• Provide basic accounting support and advice to clients on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of client financial information.
