Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our accounting team. This full-time role focuses on managing client accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and delivering reliable bookkeeping services.

You will prepare entries, reconciliations and financial statements, process invoices and payroll documentation with precision, interact confidently with clients, and support senior staff while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Malaysian regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a similar financial role.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple client accounts.
• Professional communication skills and ability to interact confidently with clients.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of tax and compliance regulations in Malaysia is advantageous.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining accurate financial records
• Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping entries, reconciliations and financial statements
• Processing invoices, expense claims and payroll documentation with precision and attention to detail
• Identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues in a timely manner.
• Providing administrative support to senior accounting staff as required
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
