Job summary

AW Teams is seeking an Accounting Associate to join its accounting and audit team in Malaysia. The role focuses on financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day bookkeeping for clients, working closely with senior accountants to maintain accurate records and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements, managing general ledger close, and assisting with GST filings and tax computations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a professional accounting firm is expected.
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP or similar accounting software.
• Knowledge of SFRS and GST laws is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including AP/AR and bank reconciliations.
• Process client transactions: invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Monitor cash flow, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
