Job summary

Amiba Bukit Bintang Sdn Bhd seeks a Clerk of Works (M&E) to lead on-site coordination for a high-rise development in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. You will liaise with the Resident Engineer, review M&E drawings, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years in M&E site supervision, with preference for high-rise project experience and Chinese language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Attend and witness tests, record results and raise NCRs as needed.
• Report progress, defects, and program risks to supervisors.
• Assist with documentation and submissions of test reports, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

Job description

Amiba Bukit Bintang Sdn Bhd is a property developer currently building a 67 to 68-storey high-rise development in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. We are looking for a Clerk of Works (M&E) to join our project team immediately.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary M&E site coordination contact, reporting to the Resident Engineer / General Manager and liaising with the appointed M&E Consultant.

Inspect and monitor day-to-day M&E site works (electrical, ACMV, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection and specialist systems) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and authority requirements.

Check installations before concealment (ceiling closure, shaft enclosure, wall finishes)

Review for coordination and verify against the latest approved drawings; refer discrepancies for consultant review and approval.

Coordinate with M&E contractors, C&S, architectural/ID and façade teams, and help resolve service clashes.

Identify, coordinate and follow up on clashes with the relevant consultants and contractors.

Attend and witness tests, check records and follow up on outstanding defects.

Support authority inspections (DBKL, BOMBA, TNB, TM, Air Selangor) and follow up until all comments are closed

Record and report non-compliance and issue site memos or NCRs only within delegated authority.

Assist with documentation and follow-up submision of test reports, as-built drawings and O&M manuals, and support CCC / Form G submission

Report site M&E Installation progress, defects, testing, authority comments and programme risks to the M&E consultants /Site supervision Leader /General Manager regularly

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Fluent in Chinese (spoken and written), as we work closely with contractors from China

At least 5 years of experience in M&E site supervision

Experience in high-rise building projects is highly preferred

Knowledge of fire protection, ACMV, plumbing, LV/ELV systems

Able to read M&E drawings and shop drawings

Familiar with local authority requirements is an advantage

Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as an Inspector of Works (IOW) is preferred

Experience in high-rise building projects is an advantage

Good communication and report writing skills

Proficient in MS Office

Fixed-Term Contract (No probation period applies to this fixed-term contract)
