Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Cleanroom Operator to join the Production team in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will assemble and test precision components in a controlled cleanroom environment, following work orders, SOPs, and engineering drawings to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.

The role involves operating production equipment, performing leak tests, validating parts, recording data, and maintaining cleanroom standards. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet targets.

Qualifications

• :- Must have SPM or Certificate/Diploma in Engineering/Manufacturing or related field.
• - Welding certification or technical certification is an added advantage.
• - Prior cleanroom/manufacturing experience preferred.
• - Able to read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• - Basic knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and measuring instruments.
• - Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure quality.
• - Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• - Able to stand and perform repetitive tasks in a cleanroom; comfortable in PPE.
• - Good time management to meet daily production targets.
• - Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or repair product assemblies and components by following work orders, engineering drawings, SOPs, and instructions.
• Perform manufacturing processes such as bending, tacking, welding, tweaking, leak testing, and component assembly per specifications.
• Operate production equipment, test fixtures, measuring instruments, and leak detection equipment safely.
• Verify incoming parts and materials; inspect for defects before assembly.
• Record production data accurately and complete required manufacturing documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and workstations for cleanroom compliance.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols, including gowning, contamination control, and material handling.
• Follow EHS requirements by using PPE and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and other production assignments.

We are seeking Cleanroom Operator to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing precision components in a controlled cleanroom environment, ensuring all manufacturing activities meet quality, safety, cleanliness, and productivity standards.

• Assemble and/or repair product assemblies and components by following work orders, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and verbal instructions.
• Perform manufacturing processes such as bending, tacking, welding, tweaking, leak testing, and component assembly in accordance with approved specifications.
• Operate production equipment, test fixtures, electronic measuring instruments, and leak detection equipment safely and effectively.
• Verify incoming parts and materials to ensure completeness and inspect for defects before assembly.
• Record production data accurately and complete all required manufacturing documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and workstations to maintain cleanroom compliance.
• Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures, contamination control practices, and material handling requirements.
• Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements by using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and other production-related assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirement

• Minimum SPM qualification or Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Welding certification or technical certification in an engineering-related discipline is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and the use of measuring instruments is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail to identify product defects and maintain high-quality standards.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while working in a cleanroom environment.
• Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments, gloves, face mask, safety glasses, and other required PPE throughout the shift.
• Good time management skills with the ability to achieve daily production targets.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required
