VAT Group is seeking a skilled assembler to join the production team in Seberang Perai. The role focuses on assembling vacuum valves and components, executing functional and leak tests, and ensuring quality packaging for shipment.
You will support continuous improvement, maintain 5S standards, and collaborate with engineering to resolve technical issues. Candidates should have an Advanced Diploma in Sciences or Engineering, 3+ years in industrial manufacturing (preferably cleanroom), and
Assemble vacuum valves and valve component, with timely delivery of products in required quality and at reasonable cost level (within planned cycle time).
Perform functional and leak tests in accordance to specification. Troubleshoot and resolve any functional issues encountered to fulfil product specifications.
Perform visual inspection on the components supplied, if found any defects or abnormalities, feedback to line leader, supervisors and QA
Perform final inspection and customized packaging for shipment.
Actively participate in continuous improvement process and maintain 5S at work environment to increase the productivity and maintain safety
Timely perform autonomous maintenance on equipment, devices, jigs and fixtures according to schedule.
Feedback and elevate to line leaders and supervisors on duty for any missing tools, jigs and fixtures, test cable, etc to get a replacement for next process
Consistently maintain optimum stock level at both finished goods store and material kitting area to meet demand and delivery
Properly setup and handle equipment, jigs/fixture and parts with correct program and parameters for assembly, test and packaging processes.
Accurately maintain information in PCS and D365 (i.e. Inventory, cost, quality, delivery leadtime) with accurate data entry and timely transactions.
Perform the task according to procedure and work instruction.
Perform a timely recording & accurate report on production status especially departmental KPI.
Support by reporting to supervisor in term of coordinating & communicating of any quality issues, parts and components availability due to shortages and any critical on delivery timelines.
Liaise with engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems on products to ensure technical requirements are fulfilled.
Coach and mentor junior assemblers on basic and product-specific skills to sustain and enhance people competency within the production island.\
Be the subject matter expert of product lines in own area of responsibility, and cross-train assemblers to new product lines to optimize and sustain certification rate of assemblers within the production island.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality and productivity in own area of responsibility.
Maintain active communication with shop floor leaders through timely escalations of operational gaps to optimize labor productivity and ensure on-time delivery.
Any other duties as assigned by superior
Advanced Diploma in Sciences / Engineering in relevant technical fields (mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, manufacturing)
Min. 3 years of relevant industrial experience.
Prefer 2-3 years of experience in similar cleanroom assembly processes
Prefer to possess knowledge in helium leak testing
Good quality awareness
Good characters for teamwork and reliability
