Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Cleanroom Operator to join our Production team. You will assemble and test precision components in a controlled cleanroom, following work orders, drawings, SOPs, and verbal instructions.

You will operate production equipment, verify parts, record data, perform routine cleaning, adhere to cleanroom protocols, wear PPE, and support continuous improvement initiatives while meeting daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification or Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Welding certification or technical certification in an engineering-related discipline is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of welding, assembly processes, and the use of measuring instruments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or repair product assemblies and components by following work orders, engineering drawings, SOPs, and instructions.
• Perform manufacturing processes such as bending, tacking, welding, tweaking, leak testing, and assembly per specifications.
• Operate production equipment, test fixtures, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Verify incoming parts and materials for completeness and defects before assembly.
• Record production data and complete manufacturing documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance to maintain cleanroom compliance.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols including gowning, contamination control, and PPE requirements.
• Follow EHS requirements and maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.

We are seeking Cleanroom Operator to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing precision components in a controlled cleanroom environment, ensuring all manufacturing activities meet quality, safety, cleanliness, and productivity standards.

Job Description

• Assemble and/or repair product assemblies and components by following work orders, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and verbal instructions.
• Perform manufacturing processes such as bending, tacking, welding, tweaking, leak testing, and component assembly in accordance with approved specifications.
• Operate production equipment, test fixtures, electronic measuring instruments, and leak detection equipment safely and effectively.
• Verify incoming parts and materials to ensure completeness and inspect for defects before assembly.
• Record production data accurately and complete all required manufacturing documentation.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and workstations to maintain cleanroom compliance.
• Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning procedures, contamination control practices, and material handling requirements.
• Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements by using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and other production-related assignments as directed by the supervisor.

• Comfortable wearing cleanroom garments, gloves, face mask, safety glasses, and other required PPE throughout the shift.
• Good time management skills with the ability to achieve daily production targets.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required
