Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV seeks a Process Engineer Cabinet Assembly (Cleanroom) to establish and sustain manufacturing processes for cabinet assembly in a cleanroom environment. You will lead process development for mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical builds, drive NPI, ensure compliance, and collaborate with suppliers to optimize yield and cycle times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of Process Engineering experience within EMS, semiconductor, medical device, industrial equipment, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in establishing and optimizing assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting NPI, product industrialization, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Experience with mechanical and electromechanical assembly processes is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment (ISO Class 7/8 or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Experience leading equipment and tooling implementation projects, including CAPEX justification and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Cabinet Assembly Process Development: Develop and implement assembly processes for mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical cabinet builds.
  • Cleanroom Manufacturing Controls: Establish cleanroom assembly procedures and contamination control practices.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Lead process development for new cabinet assembly programs.
  • Equipment, Tooling & CAPEX: Define equipment, fixtures, and tooling requirements for cabinet assembly operations.
  • Process Governance: Establish process monitoring systems and critical process controls.
  • Support process transfers and manufacturing scale-up activities.

Additionally, you have:

Job requirements
Your daily responsibilities include:

Cabinet Assembly Process Development

Develop and implement assembly processes for mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical cabinet builds.

Define assembly sequences, workstation layouts, tooling requirements, and manufacturing standards.

Conduct time studies, line balancing, and labor efficiency improvements.

Establish process flows, SOPs, work instructions, and visual standards.

Cleanroom Manufacturing Controls

Establish cleanroom assembly procedures and contamination control practices.

Define material handling, gowning, cleaning, and ESD requirements.

Ensure assembly processes comply with cleanroom and customer‑specific requirements.

Support cleanroom qualification and process audits.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

Lead process development for new cabinet assembly programs.

Drive DFM/DfX reviews with customers and internal teams.

Support prototype, pilot, and production builds.

Develop PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validations before production release.

Equipment, Tooling & CAPEX

Define equipment, fixtures, and tooling requirements for cabinet assembly operations.

Support CAPEX justification, procurement, installation, and qualification.

Work with suppliers on process capability, machine acceptance, and technical improvements.

Provide technical support for assembly‑related production issues.

Analyze yield, cycle time, and productivity performance.

Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Drive Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives.

Process Governance

Establish process monitoring systems and critical process controls.

Maintain process documentation and engineering change implementation.

Support process transfers and manufacturing scale‑up activities.

Develop preventive maintenance and calibration requirements for production equipment.
