FOOM, a cocktail and tea lounge in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, seeks a dedicated cleaner for evening shifts through close. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness during service and preparing the venue for the next day.

No prior experience is required; a buddy will show you the routine on your first nights, and you will learn the cleaning order, washroom checks, and how we maintain a spotless venue for the morning shift.

Job description

FOOM is a cocktail and tea lounge in Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, open in the evenings. We need one person whose whole job is keeping the place clean while guests are in, and leaving it clean for the next day.

The job

Evening shifts, through to closing. Our busiest nights are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Check and clean the washrooms on a set round, all night.

Wash and dry shisha pipes and glassware at the back.

Keep the floor, the terrace and the bins clear while guests are in.

Clean down after the last guest leaves, so the next shift walks into a clean venue.

What we teach you

No experience needed. On your first nights someone works next to you and shows you the routine: what to clean, in what order, and how we check it.

What you get

RM1,700 a month basic, plus EPF, SOCSO and EIS

A monthly performance bonus once you pass probation, paid on your own results

RM80 food allowance for every week worked, paid in cash

One full rest day every week, on a weekday. Overtime paid past 45 hours.

8 days annual leave, 14 days sick leave, and a replacement day off for every public holiday you work

Typhoid and food handler certificates: if you don't have them, we pay for your first set

Three-month probation. Seven days' notice either way during probation, one month after.

Who can apply

18 and over. Malaysian citizens and permanent residents. You can work late into the night and get yourself home after we close.

What matters most to us is that you turn up. Be there for every shift you're rostered for, and if you can't, tell us at least two hours before.
