Job summary

Allianz Malaysia is seeking a Claims Review Specialist to conduct a comprehensive review and processing of third‑party property damage claims, and to provide recommendations for suitable offers/mandates for resolution.

You will gather documentation from insured, solicitors, brokers and agents, assess risk with attention to potential fraud, negotiate settlements to avoid litigation, and collaborate with panel solicitors and internal teams to streamline closures.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of insurance experience, preferably motor claims.
• Strong understanding of policy conditions and exclusions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new exposures.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessment of claims by gathering necessary documentation from insured, third‑party solicitors/ representatives, branches, agents, brokers, etc., with a keen attention to detail in identifying potential fraud, ensuring timely and fair settlements in compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines (PIAM, FMOS, BNM).
• Engage in timely and effective negotiations with third parties or their solicitors / representatives to achieve settlement claims, minimize the risk of litigation, and enhance cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with panel solicitors to strategies and achieve a timely, fair and reasonable settlement.
• Craft, develop and implement efficient settlement strategies including those for complex claims, emphasizing workflow enhancements to streamline claim closures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including customers, brokers, agents, and both inter/intra department teams to maintain vigilance for fraud indicators and develop robust fraud prevention measures.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years insurance experience, preferably in motor claims related fields.
• Good policy understanding in terms of the policy conditions, exclusions, etc.
• Good judgement with ability to make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and also willing to learn or ready for new exposure.
• Familiar with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification.
