Job summary

ALAM REKA BINA SDN BHD in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, seeks an experienced Project Engineer to oversee civil and structural projects from planning to construction. You will coordinate teams, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and monitor budgets, schedules, and quality to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering degree, 2+ years of project experience in construction, strong technical knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM and structural analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Environmental), Quantity Surveyor or equivalence.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Project Engineer role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil/structural engineering principles and project management.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, BIM and structural analysis software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with codes, regulations and safety standards in construction.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of civil and structural projects, including planning, design, and construction
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and timely delivery
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality control to meet high standards
• Identify and resolve technical issues, provide engineering solutions, and improve efficiency
• Coordinate and supervise work of project teams, including engineers, technicians and site personnel
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes
