Job summary

Jurutera Perunding Pesona Rekabina Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Civil and Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Puchong Jaya, Selangor. You will design, analyze, and supervise civil and structural projects to deliver high-quality engineering solutions meeting client requirements and regulatory standards.

The role includes working across building and infrastructure projects, with opportunities for professional development, mentoring, and involvement in design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional qualification and registration as a Bersama Jurutera Malaysia (BJM) engineer or working towards this qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience in structural design and analysis in a consulting or contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian standards and international codes.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) and related tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM software.
• Solid understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural systems for building and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and engineering principles.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications for construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to coordinate project delivery and resolve technical issues.
• Review and approve construction materials, testing reports, and quality assurance documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for project proposals.
• Ensure all project work complies with Malaysian building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Support the development and maintenance of engineering design standards and best practices within the organisation.
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development.
