Job summary

Perunding Rekamaju Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a motivated Civil & Structural Engineer to support design and delivery across high-rise, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. You will work with our engineering team on civil and structural design, analysis, and coordination from design through construction.

The role offers exposure to diverse projects, collaboration with architects and consultants, site inspections, and submissions to authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of civil/structural consultancy experience preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for buildings and infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, M&E consultants, geotechnical experts and contractors.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients to resolve technical issues.
• Perform site inspections and provide construction support as needed.

About the role

Join our dynamic Civil & Structural consultancy team in Kuala Lumpur and contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-rise, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

We are seeking a motivated and technically driven Civil & Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of our projects. You will work closely with our engineering team on civil and structural design, engineering analysis, authority submissions, technical documentation and project coordination, while gaining exposure to projects from design through to construction.

What you'll be doing

Conducting detailed structural analysis and design for a variety of civil engineering projects, including buildings, and other infrastructure projects.

Prepare and review engineering drawings, design reports, specifications and other technical documentation.

Coordinate closely with architects, M&E consultants, geotechnical consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors to resolve technical and design issues.

Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction when required.

Assist in the preparation and submission of engineering documents and drawings to relevant authorities.

Ensure engineering designs and documentation comply with relevant Malaysian standards, codes of practice and authority requirements.

Perform other engineering duties as assigned by the Project Engineer, Senior Engineer or management.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent from a recognised university.

Preferably 1–5 years of relevant experience in a civil and structural engineering consultancy environment.

Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with structural analysis/design software such as Prota, MIDAS, STAAD.Pro or equivalent will be an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Willing to learn, take responsibility and work on challenging projects.

Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent is highly desirable.
