Job summary

Hyperwave Systems Engineering Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead on-site construction oversight for EPCC projects in the Oil & Gas sector. You will monitor progress, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, specs, and industry standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (EAC-accredited) and at least 3 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure civil/building works and equipment installations meet contractual requirements and standards.
• Monitor project costs and material usage to stay within budget.
• Oversee progress to align with the project schedule.
• Implement on-site monitoring for budget, quality, timeliness, and safety compliance.
• Develop detailed project plans and ensure timely completion.
• Regularly test materials and construction procedures for compliance.
• Attend site, progress, design, and technical meetings and liaise with statutory bodies.
• Prepare and maintain site reports and project documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

Job description

Ensure all civil/building engineering construction works and equipment installations are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, specifications, and relevant industry standards.

Monitor and control project costs and material usage to ensure alignment with the approved budget.

Oversee the progress of all tasks to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.

Implement on-site monitoring to ensure compliance with budget, quality standards, timely completion, and safety regulations.

Develop detailed project plans and ensure timely completion in accordance with the work schedule.

Conduct regular testing of materials and construction procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Attend site, progress, design, and technical meetings; liaise with statutory bodies as required, representing the company professionally.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive site reports and project documentation in an organized and timely manner.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Possess a Civil Engineering degree accredited/recognized by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC).
