Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN GLOBAL HIRE SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (Construction) for a site-based role in Parit Buntar, Penang.

You will oversee civil and structural works, supervise the site, coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors and subcontractors, and ensure quality and progress are maintained on site. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, with strong site supervision and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant working experience in Civil Engineering, Site Engineering or construction projects is preferred.
• Experience in building, industrial, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of civil construction methods, construction processes and site coordination.
• Able to read and understand civil and structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications and other technical documents.
• Experience in site supervision, quality inspection and subcontractor coordination will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise civil construction activities at the project site.
• Monitor daily construction progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Review construction drawings, civil and structural drawings, shop drawings, method statements and other relevant technical documents.
• Provide technical support and assist in resolving civil engineering and construction issues on site.
• Monitor construction quality, workmanship and project progress.
• Conduct site inspections and follow up on construction progress, outstanding works and rectification works.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are completed according to project requirements and schedules.
• Ensure civil and structural works comply with project quality, safety and technical requirements.
• Coordinate construction materials, manpower, site activities and other project resources when required.

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Civil Engineer (Construction) to join our construction project team in Parit Buntar, Penang. The successful candidate will be responsible for civil construction works, site supervision, technical coordination, quality and progress monitoring, and coordination with project teams, consultants, contractors and subcontractors. About you

Mandarin proficiency is required. Candidates must be able to read, listen, speak and write in Mandarin Chinese.
