Job summary

ELSA in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Miri/Bintulu, Sarawak. You will lead civil and structural design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities and coordinate with other disciplines to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities include detailed engineering design, preparation and review of calculations and specifications, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised Degree in Civil, Structural, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Must be a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or an equivalent internationally recognised professional engineering institution.
• Experience in engineering and design of offshore topside facilities is required.

• Lead and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Perform detailed civil and structural engineering design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design specifications, and process safety reports as required.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure effective integration of design activities.
• Provide technical support and resolve civil and structural engineering issues throughout project execution.
