Job summary

ELSA is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer for a 12-month contract to lead and coordinate civil/structural activities for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities in Miri / Bintulu. The role requires a recognised degree, 5+ years in oil & gas, and Professional Engineer (BEM) registration.

The candidate will perform detailed design, calculations, and safety documentation, ensuring compliance with industry codes and project standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years relevant oil & gas experience, including 3+ years in a similar role.
• Professional Engineer registered with BEM or equivalent.
• Experience in offshore topside facilities design is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities to meet project requirements, specifications and standards.
• Perform detailed civil and structural design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design specifications, and process safety reports as required.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with codes, standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for effective design integration.
• Provide technical support and resolve civil/structural issues throughout project execution.

Professional Engineer (BEM)

Job description

• Recognised Degree in Civil, Structural, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Must be a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or an equivalent internationally recognised professional engineering institution.
• Experience in engineering and design of offshore topside facilities is required.

Work Location: Miri / Bintulu

Contract Duration: 12 months

Responsibility

• Lead and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Perform detailed civil and structural engineering design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design specifications, and process safety reports as required.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure effective integration of design activities.
• Provide technical support and resolve civil and structural engineering issues throughout project execution.
