Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Miri / Bintulu seeks a seasoned Civil/Structural Engineer to lead and coordinate design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.

You will perform detailed engineering calculations, ensure compliance with codes, and provide technical support across project execution. A recognised degree and 5+ years in oil & gas, plus professional engineering registration, are required.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering degree in civil, structural, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant oil & gas experience, with 3 in a similar role.
• Professional Engineer registered with BEM or equivalent.
• Experience in offshore topside facilities design is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural activities ensuring compliance with standards.
• Perform detailed design for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specs, and safety reports.
• Ensure deliverables comply with codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate design activities.
• Provide technical support throughout project execution.

Job description

Work Location: Miri / Bintulu

Contract Duration: 12 months

Qualification:

• Recognised Degree in Civil, Structural, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Must be a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or an equivalent internationally recognised professional engineering institution.
• Experience in engineering and design of offshore topside facilities is required.

Responsibility

• Lead and coordinate civil and structural engineering activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Perform detailed civil and structural engineering design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design specifications, and process safety reports as required.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure effective integration of design activities.
• Provide technical support and resolve civil and structural engineering issues throughout project execution.
